Rapid Re-Location Program

The Rapid Re-LocationProgram (RRP) relieves vulnerable families of pressing social, financial, medical, and other conditions by helping them relocate to better living situations outside Massachusetts. After confirming that accommodations await families at the end of their travel, case managers provide travel assistance and connect families with appropriate resources at their destination.

In the last fiscal year, 39 families (including 82 children) moved to better living conditions with the help of the Rapid Re-Location Program in Boston.

To qualify for RRP, a client family must be referred by the Department of Housing and Community Developmentand have a verified, safe place to stay in their destination.
